Navigating Your Medicare Options with Confidence

Medicare doesn’t have to be complicated.

Transitioning to Medicare or evaluating your current coverage can feel overwhelming. Whether you are turning 65, retiring soon, or simply looking to review your options during the Annual Enrollment Period, you don't have to figure it out alone.

At LegacyBridge Insurance Solutions, we help you translate complex insurance details into a clear strategy. We take the time to understand your specific healthcare needs, preferred doctors, and prescription requirements to help you choose a plan with confidence.

Understanding Your Medicare Choices

1. Original Medicare (Parts A & B)

Provided by the federal government, Original Medicare is the foundation of your coverage.

  • Part A (Hospital Insurance): Helps cover inpatient care in hospitals, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care, and home health care.

  • Part B (Medical Insurance): Helps cover services from doctors and other healthcare providers, outpatient care, durable medical equipment, and some preventive services.

2. Medicare Advantage (Part C)

An "all-in-one" alternative to Original Medicare. These plans are offered by private, Medicare-approved insurance companies.

  • How it works: Advantage plans "bundle" Part A, Part B, and usually Part D (prescription drugs) into a single plan.

  • Key features: Many Medicare Advantage plans offer extra benefits that Original Medicare doesn't cover, such as vision, hearing, and dental services.

3. Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap)

Helps fill the "gaps" in Original Medicare.

  • How it works: Original Medicare pays for much, but not all, of the cost of covered healthcare services and supplies. A Medigap policy, sold by private insurance companies, works alongside Original Medicare to help pay some of the remaining healthcare costs, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.

4. Prescription Drug Coverage (Part D)

Helps cover the cost of prescription medications.

  • How it works: Offered by private insurance companies, Part D plans can be added to Original Medicare or Medigap policies to ensure your prescriptions are covered.
